The Bible tells us that "children are a heritage from the Lord" (Psalm 127:3), and that it is the responsibility of Christian parents to "bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord" (Eph. 6:4).
At Imprint, we believe that one great way parents can invest in the discipleship of their children is to include them in the gathered worship of the church! Rather than sending children down the hall for a separate experience of worship and teaching, we think it's important for them to see their parents singing praise to God, bowing their heads in prayer, listening attentively to God's word, and partaking in the Lord's Supper. (And they can learn to do these things themselves more quickly than you might think!) It's also a great opportunity for our church community to demonstrate that we really believe that children are a blessing from God, and not a disruption.
We are OK with wiggily boys and girls in our worship services! We're really happy they're there, learning how to worship God and participating in the life of the church. (We provide children with crayons, clipboards, and a special Kids Bulletin to help them engage in the service each week.)
Join us for worship, and bring your kiddos along!
