Prince Over My People

April 7, 2019 Preacher: Kyle Carlson Series: The Man Who Would Be King

Passage: 1 Samuel 10:1–27

Saul is privately anointed king, and then publicly proclaimed king during a national ceremony. But strangely, Saul seems anything but eager to play the role that God has chosen for him. How can we learn from Saul about the nature of leadership, the authority of God's word, and the danger of passive disobedience? More importantly, how does all this lift our eyes upward to Jesus Christ, the forever King?
